An ACB (Air Circuit Breaker) is a type of circuit breaker used for protection, control, and switching of electrical power in low-voltage (LV) systems, typically up to 6300A. It operates in air as the arc-quenching medium, making it suitable for high-current applications in industries, commercial buildings, and power distribution systems.
The Schneider Electric MasterPact NT and NW series are advanced Air Circuit Breakers designed for reliable protection, control, and distribution of low-voltage electrical power in commercial and industrial systems. The MasterPact NT range covers current ratings from 630A to 1600A, making it ideal for compact panels and medium-capacity power networks, while the MasterPact NW series handles much higher capacities from 800A up to 6300A, suitable for main incomers, large switchboards, generators, and heavy-duty industrial loads. Both series operate up to 690V AC, feature high short-circuit breaking capacities, and are available in fixed or draw-out designs for safe maintenance. Equipped with Schneider’s intelligent MicroLogic electronic trip units, they provide precise long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection, along with advanced metering, energy monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities. Their modular accessories, including motor charging, shunt and under-voltage releases, and communication modules, allow seamless integration into modern automation and energy-management systems. With robust construction, excellent selectivity, and international compliance, the MasterPact NT and NW ACBs deliver dependable performance, enhanced safety, and long-term reliability for critical electrical infrastructure.
