The Schneider Electric ATV312, often referred to as the VFD 312, is a compact and versatile variable frequency drive designed for controlling three-phase induction motors in small to medium industrial applications. It supports a wide power range from around 0.18 kW to 15 kW and is available in both single-phase 200–240 V and three-phase 380–500 V variants, making it suitable for pumps, fans, conveyors, mixers, and packaging machines. The ATV312 features sensorless vector control for smooth torque and speed regulation, an output frequency capability up to about 500 Hz, and built-in protections such as overload, overvoltage, overheating, and short-circuit protection. It includes an integrated EMC filter for noise reduction and offers communication options like Modbus and CANopen for seamless integration into automation systems.
